HINTS & TIPS

Before you get there
If you are planning to camp, there is a family area available. Camping space is limited, so book your camping vouchers in advance to secure your pitch. See the camping page for details of campsite facilities.

Remember that the weather in Scotland is unpredictable and children who are wet through or sunburnt won’t be happy! Pack plenty of sunscreen, sunhats and warm, waterproof clothing.

At The Outsider:
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times – it only takes a minute for them to get lost in the crowd.

However, for your peace of mind, we will have a Barnardos Kid’s Check-In Tent in the arena. We advise you to go to the tent on arrival, pick up wristbands for your kids to wear (write your mobile phone number on) and familiarise them with the tent. If they become separated from you over the weekend they will be taken to the tent and looked after by fully disclosed staff until you can be contacted. This area will be open when the arena is: Friday 6pm - midnight, Saturday 10am - midnight and Sunday 10am - midnight.

Make sure your children know what to do if they get separated from you. Remind them never to go with strangers or people they don’t know without telling you first. Tell them that if they get lost, they should only ask for help from a security steward, someone with a radio, another adult with children or at one of the Information Points.

BE SAFE & HAVE FUN!
