Saturday 27 & Sunday 28 June, 2009

The Outsider Campsite will be adjacent to the arena and will offer both quiet camping and boutique camping (details of which will be announced later). You will have loads of space in our new campsite - it will be like real camping adventure in the Highlands - and unlike other festivals there is no limit on the size or type of tent you bring (though every camper must have a weekend camping ticket). Campervans and caravans are welcome.  A drop off arrangement will be available to families, though parking is adjacent and only minutes away.  Festival-goers can also park in Aviemore, a 20-minute walk away. The campsite will be open from 12noon on Friday 26 June to 12noon on Monday 29 June.  The will be food facilities on site.

The Outsider is held on the historic Rothiemurchus Estate, owned and conserved by the Grant Family for generations.  Rothiemurchus is considered one of the most important environmental sites in the UK.

"Rothiemurchus Forest is not just trees, but a wonderfully rich network of habitats and wildlife, interdependent and evolving. The conservation of this diverse, living landscape does not happen by accident. Long term planning and sensitive use maintain and enhance the forest for future generations. Thank you for helping." Johnnie Grant, 15th Laird

The Outsider festival site is a mile and a half from the A9 - the main route linking central Scotland with the North - and from Aviemore, on the road to Coylumbridge and the Cairngorms Mountains.
The railway station at Aviemore on the Edinburgh to Inverness line is a 20-minute walk to the site. The nearest airport is Inverness, 50 minutes away.

The event arena will be open from 10:00 till 23:00 on both days
Campsite from noon on Friday 26 June to noon Monday 29 June
