The Outsider is pleased to bring the increasingly popular Merida Marathon series of mountain bike events to the Highlands. The Merida Outsider will feature three different course lengths. We will have courses of approximately 65km, 45km and a 20km Mini Marathon to choose from, perfect for both hardcore and beginner.

The event will take place on the Saturday of the weekend (contrary to the other Merida Series rounds). Signing on will be from 6pm to 9pm on Friday and from 8am to 10am on Saturday. The ride starts at 11am on Saturday 23rd June. There’s loads of useful information on the Outsider section of the Merida series website www.mtb-marathon.co.uk

Entry info
Everyone taking part in The Merida mountain bike event must register and pay their registration fee by filling in the entry form or entering via the online entry at www.mtb-marathon.co.uk. The registration fee is only £15 per person but every rider also needs the normal Outsider Festival entrance ticket to take part in the festival and the marathon. You CANNOT take part in the Merida mountain bike event without having purchased at least the Saturday only ticket - see below. The Merida Outsider will start and finish inside the event arena. It may be possible to enter the event on the day or evening before if places are still available. All Merida Outsider entrants buying Saturday-only festival tickets will also receive a complementary pass to the Festival for Friday night. Entrants must be 12 or over to compete in the Merida event, all under 18s must be accompanied by an adult.

Once you have registered/entered the Merida Outsider please go to our 'Tickets' page to purchase the necessary festival ticket. You must be in possession of a Saturday or Weekend Festival Ticket if you wish to take part.
